The Athletic Training Educational Program at Denison University is a rigorous and intense program that places specific requirements and demands on the students enrolled in the program.
Denison University is committed to making all aspects of the institution—inside the classroom and out—a community characterized by honesty, integrity, and responsibility. That commitment was reaffirmed when Denison students developed and proposed the Code of Academic Integrity, which the faculty adopted unanimously in 2008.
The purpose of this policy is to prohibit conflicts of interest in situations involving student financial aid and to establish standards of conduct for employees with responsibility for student financial aid.

The federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989 require that Denison University distribute this Alcohol and Drug policy information to all students, staff, and faculty on an annual basis.
Students who are currently enrolled and are completing the FAFSA will be asked: “Have you been convicted for the possession or sale of illegal drugs for an offense that occurred while you were receiving federal student aid?” Students who answer “Yes” will be asked an additional series of questions to determine if the conviction affects their eligibility for federal student aid.
Denison University shall be responsive to all legal requests for electronically stored information (ESI) from any recognized legal authority. The University maintains numerous logs, records, backups and other forms of data that may be requested in a litigation process. The University will not voluntarily provide any such information; data will only be released under the terms of a court ordered disclosure, subpoena or other appropriate request.

The library accepts unrestricted donations of library materials for review. Items are accepted with the understanding that they will be handled in the best interest of the institution. Once given to the library, donations cannot be returned to the donor. Potential donors should provide in advance a list of materials being offered so that their value to the collection may be reviewed.
The meal plans are reviewed and adjusted each year based on surveys of student use and preferences. The following meal plans are available for the 2014-2015 school year. Three traditional meal plans (A, B, and C) are available to all students. In addition to those, three Apartment Alternative Plans (1, 2, and 3) are available to students living in meal-optional housing (apartments and Homestead). One additional plan, the SRH Plan, is available only to seniors graduating in Fall 2014 or Spring 2015 who do not live in an apartment.

Information Technology Services provides guidelines and restricts the use of P2P applications and protocols, such as BitTorrent, etc. Denison has implemented technical controls which allow us to prioritize traffic based on type so that we never examine the content of the traffic, thereby ensuring individual privacy. However, all community members must respect all applicable copyright laws.
Through our Campus Compact, members of the Denison University community promise to respect one another and our environment. The University protects the rights of all students to live and study in an environment free from sexual coercion and violence.
Denison is committed to reducing its impact on the environment. To that end, Denison operates an extensive campus recycling program to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills and to utilize resources in a more responsible manner. We recognize, however, that recycling is only one part of the issue. To move toward a more sustainable campus, Denison also must strive to reduce its consumption and waste in all aspects of campus operations.
To be eligible to receive federal, state and institutional financial aid and to continue to receive that aid a student must maintain satisfactory academic progress toward the completion of his/her degree by maintaining a cumulative 2.0 GPA in addition to earning the required number of hours after each semester of attendance.

As a four-year residential campus, Denison University is committed to the learning process that takes place both inside and outside the classroom. Staff members in the Office of Residential Education and Housing provide students with a reasonably safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living space, in an academically conducive environment. Denison University provides online resources to students, faculty and staff for many purposes ranging from education and research to communications and entertainment. Title IX is a law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program. Sexual misconduct is prohibited under this law. The responsibilities in this policy are legal requirements for the College under the Title IX legislation of 1972 which requires among other things that Colleges and universities investigate and act on knowledge of sexual assault—including educating and training campus personnel about their respective roles and responsibilities for reporting incidents.
