    ‘DENISON/William Currin Project’

The Department of Theatre presents “DENISON/William Currin Project,” an original work based on the letters of William Jordan Currin ’13 during the First World War, by Jennifer Schlueter and Mark Evans Bryan ’96.

Derived from the Denison University Archives, the letters of William Jordan Currin ’13 and other Denisonians during the First World War will come to life on stage through the collaboration of Jennifer Schlueter, associate professor of theatre at The Ohio State University, and Mark Evans Bryan ’96, associate professor of theatre at Denison, and a team of Denison student dramaturge. Currin’s letters and drawings provide the latest source for Schlueter’s work with her theatre company, the for/word company, which creates new theatre drawn from archival sources.
