If these walls could talk

The Tuesday Faculty Lunch Series welcomes Gill Miller, associate professor of dance, presenting “Monomoy Place—Oh, the stories these walls could tell!.” Denison’s President’s house wasn’t always elegant. For the first 100 years, it was the office for two doctors, subject of a protracted family lawsuit, home to a peripatetic family, and finally renovated by a railroad conductor-made-good. In the second hundred years, it was used as home for a spinster and a widow, was cooperative housing for female students, barracks for marines, and satellite housing for frat boys before it fell into such disrepair that it took quite some negotiations to convince the university to salvage it. Oh, the stories these walls could tell! Open to emeriti faculty, faculty and staff.
