Featuring favorite modern hits from Hannah Montana, the Cheetah Girls, Aly and A.J., Ashley Tisdale, the Jonas Brothers, Smashmouth, Aaron Carter and more, featured along with music that emphasizes positive values. Join the fun with lots of audience interaction, community sing-along, and dancing at this high-energy event. Also featured will be the Steamroller Bagel food truck.

    Full Description: Denison music faculty Tom Carroll and Andy Carlson will perform a free concert at the Works Museum, 55 S. First St., Newark. The duo are longtime mainstays of the Central Ohio music scene, playing together and solo. Carroll is a professor at Denison University and is a jazz guitarist. Carlson is chair of the Department of Music at Denison and plays classical violin along with being a champion fiddler.

    Full Description: Dennis Stroughmatt and Creole Stomp are based in southern Illinois, or "Upper Louisiana," according to the band. Dennis learned to speak French and play French Creole music before relocating to Louisiana. He formed Creole Stomp in 2002, and since then, the band has carried the torch of French Creole music and culture across North America. With a unique sound that blends ancient and modern Mississippi River valley music, Creole Stomp is the "Real Deal" in Louisiana Creole, Zydeco, Cajun, Blues, and New Orleans Swamp Pop. Also featured will be the Taco Sherpa food truck.
