    Development of a discipline
The Tuesday Lunch Series welcomes Dave Goodwin presenting “One hundred eighty two years and counting: A look back at the development of a discipline as seen in geology textbooks from the University archive”
Full Description: The Tuesday Lunch Series welcomes Dave Goodwin, associate professor of geosciences, presenting “One hundred eighty two years and counting: A look back at the development of a discipline as seen in geology textbooks from the University archive.”There is a long-standing and storied tradition of geoscience education here at Denison. In fact, geology has been part of the core curriculum since the founding of the college. A recent and unexpected encounter with an old, dusty textbook spurred me to learn more about this history. In this presentation, I will briefly illustrate the development of the discipline as seen in the textbooks used in geology classes here at Denison. Open to emeriti faculty, faculty and staff.
