Full Description: Philosophy Coffee looks at the obligations of friendship in "Friendship, Trust, and Truth-Telling." Philosophers such as Sarah Stroud and Simon Keller claim that
friendship requires that we value the words of our friends above those of strangers. But does friendship actually place such demands upon us? Does friendship require that we give our friends the benefit of the doubt? Does it require that we be skeptical about negative information we receive concerning our friends? Does being someone’s friend require that we trust their word above that of others? Free and open to the others.
