Full Description: Global Studies Seminar welcomes Denison President Adam Weinberg presenting "Constructing Global Universities and Colleges." Internationalization continues to be a priority for colleges and universities. What it means and how it is constructed is contested terrain. The lack of clarity and focus has led to forms of internationalization driven by action (more is better) with little emphasis on the impact for students, institutions and communities. In this talk, Dr. Weinberg will outline the history of the internationalization of higher education, examine the current drivers of the internationalization agenda, and suggest a set of principles that could harness the power of higher education and potential of internationalization in ways that positively impact students, institutions and communities. Free and open to the public.
