Kantor Lecture

J.R. Kantor Memorial Lecture Series

The J.R. Kantor Memorial Lecture brings eminent psychologists to campus for several days to offer lectures to the College community as well as to the Psychology Department, and to meet with students.

Support for this lecture series comes from the estate of the late Prof. Kantor, who spent a long career at Indiana University and the University of Chicago, and who had many ties to the Department of Psychology at Denison.

Here are just a few notable speakers from past years:

  • Eugene Borgida (University of Minnesota)
  • Susan Goldin-Meadow (University of Chicago)
  • Paul Rozin (University of Pennsylvania)
  • Kay Deaux (City University of New York)
  • Edward F. Zigler (Yale University)
  • Alice Eagly (Northwestern University)
  • Roy Baumeister (then of Case Western Reserve University)
  • Merlin Donald (Queens University)
