Fitness & Wellness
At Denison, health and well-being represent important parts of campus culture.
Recreation at Denison is easily accessible and open to everyone. Students, faculty, staff have access to the Mitchell Recreation and Athletic Center. This facility caters to the wide range of interests in the greater Denison community. It is comprised of two interconnected buildings that boast everything from regulation basketball courts and indoor volleyball courts to squash courts and an indoor swimming pool.
If you don’t mind working up a sweat with a group of people, there are opportunities to participate in pilates, yoga, and zumba classes. Two cardio rooms offer elliptical machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, StairMasters and rowing machines, while a state-of-the-art weight-training facility attracts students, faculty, and everyone in between.
