Overview
N.E.R.D. Brain Bee

Denison's N.E.R.D. (Neuroscience Education & Research) club hosts The Denison University Brain Bee Each Year On "Superbowl Saturday".

The Brain Bee is a spelling-bee-like competition in which high school students, ages 13-19, answer questions about the brain. Participants earn prizes, both for themselves and for neuroscience-related charity, with each correct answer. Participants also compete for the opportunity to go on to the National Brain Bee!

NERD student-volunteers promote the Brain Bee, and participate as facilitators, photographers, score keepers, timers, and monitors during the actual event. NERD faculty members serve as Brain Bee judges.
