'Los Graduados” examines pressing issues in education today, which are explored through the eyes of a diverse array of Latino and Latina adolescents from across the United States, offering first-hand perspectives on key challenges facing both the students and their families, as well as educators and community leaders. the film follows six teenagers — three girls and three boys — each with their own unique obstacles to overcome.

Denison University student Juan Bernabe was one of the teens profiled in the film. He was living in Lawrence, Mass. and was bullied as a gay teen until he found his own identity as a performer and writer.
