Discussions with Alumni: Nick Gesue ‘01
He has successfully underwritten more than 350 transactions totaling more than $2 billion in loan volume. In this capacity, he oversees the firm’s underwriting and analytical functions as well as the development of new lending programs. He also is involved in structuring tax-exempt bond transactions for nonprofit and low-income projects. Nick’s thorough understanding of the senior-living and multifamily-housing industries has earned him speaking engagements at state, regional and national organizations, and has also made him a regular source of information for numerous national publications.
Nick received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma. He is an active committee member with the Mortgage Bankers Association. He also earned his LEED Green Associate accreditation from the US Green Building Council. In addition, Nick serves on the Fannie Mae Affordable Housing Advisory Council.
