Baccalaureate is a multi-religious gathering for graduates and their guests. It celebrates the pluralistic community that comprises our college today, including its Protestant Christian roots. The 4 and 7 p.m. services are identical. Read more here.

8:30 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.

Senior Soirée for Graduates and Family Members
Reese~Shackelford Common

Held on the eve of Commencement, this event is a time for seniors to come together with parents and other assembled family members under the tent on Reese~Shackelford Common to celebrate their four years together and their transition into the Society of the Alumni. Live music, dancing, food, and fun will be featured in an informal and festive atmosphere as seniors gather to enjoy their last night as undergrads!

Please note: There's no need to make off-campus dinner reservations! Food trucks, a cash bar, and special-needs transportation will be available. More information about the participating food trucks can be found at Smokeout BBQ, Pitabilities, and Dashing Diner.

Senior Soirée Highlights

  • 10 p.m.: A toast by President Weinberg and Class Co-Governors Olivia Ireland ’17 and Will Lull ’17
  • Midnight: Official welcome to the Society of the Alumni by university and alumni dignitaries
  • 12:15 to 2:30 a.m.: Continue the fun with your 2017 classmates and family under the big tent, as the Office of Alumni & Family Engagement sponsors good food and drink
