The Austin E. Knowlton Center for Career Exploration
“The goal for college students should not be just to find a job, but to build a life. We help our students explore the kinds of lives people lead — and the ways they develop their careers to support those lives.”
— Denison President Adam Weinberg.
“A great college experience helps students decide the kind of life they want to lead, how work facilitates that life and gives them the attributes, networks and experiences to get there.” - President Adam Weinberg
We believe professional readiness happens when students develop the skills, experiences, and relationships that prepare them not just to find a job but to build a life.
Our ambition is much bigger than connecting resumes to job postings, or grad school applications to admissions offices. We empower students to explore the kinds of lives that real people lead, and equip them to create their own lives, full of purpose and meaning. To do these things, we've developed six key signature programs:
These key programs, developed specifically for Denison by the Knowlton Center's staff of career exploration professionals, give students the opportunity to identify their passions and talents, hone their skills, and launch into the career of their choice, with genuine connections to our network of over 40,000 Denisonians for support along the way.
