A Denison University education is not just for a living, but for a life. Our purpose is to inspire and educate our students to become autonomous thinkers, discerning moral agents and active citizens of a democratic society. Through an emphasis on active learning, we engage students in the liberal arts. Denison graduates are educated to be curious, resourceful, and reflective. They are well prepared for the rapidly changing world of the 21st century.
Admission to Denison University is based on a holistic review of your application. Additional materials that you voluntarily include with your application will only enhance the overall picture we see of you. We focus primarily on your academic history, but we appreciate the insight into your personal high school experience that supplemental information can provide.
Students who are interested in cinema, creative writing, dance, music, studio art, or theatre may wish to submit supplementary arts materials for evaluation. Samples of your work must be submitted to Denison through the Denison Applicant Portal. Submission of supplementary materials is completely optional. If submitted, materials will be reviewed by members of the arts faculty.
ALL SUPPLEMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE APPLICATION DEADLINE – JANUARY 15 FOR REGULAR DECISION APPLICANTS
