Does talking about course material with a peer help you understand it better? Do you prefer one-on-one academic assistance? If so, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) Tutoring Program might be able to help! Best of all, the ARC Tutoring Program is available for free to Denison students!

The ARC Tutoring Program is designed for students seeking additional help to improve or maintain a high level of academic performance. Tutors are available for most subjects. ARC tutors are current students who have been recommended by departmental faculty and trained according to standards set forth by the College Reading and Learning Association. Tutors are focused on the learning goals of individual students and can tailor sessions to meeting their unique needs.

There are many opportunities to obtain tutoring help at Denison. In addition to the Academic Resource Center (ARC) advising staff, you can access help through:

  • Departmental drop-in tutoring
  • Teaching Assistants (TAs)
  • Peer Learning Strategists (PLS)
  • And various campus wellness services
