At Denison, research is a powerful way to learn about the world and yourself. Whether you tackle a project in astronomy or art, physics or philosophy, every student, in every discipline, has the opportunity to explore, encounter, examine, discover, demonstrate, and investigate. And it’s a great way to develop skills in analysis, problem-solving and communication.
The Gilpatrick Center for Student Research and Scholarships is the hub for programs that promote excellence in student research, cultivate the pursuit of scholarships and fellowships, and train students in the best ways to apply for and acquire those awards.
Students and alumni who are interested in applying for major national and international scholarships and fellowships should plan on attending a general information session to learn about criteria and eligibility. These sessions, as well as writing workshops, will be advertised on this website. Appointments to further discuss potential applications can be made with Dr. Joan Krone and Dr. Jim Pletcher by contacting Cookie Sunkle
