Denison University’s Global Studies Seminar will host four events this February, including a special discussion with President Adam Weinberg about global universities and colleges.

All Global Studies Seminar events are on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

  • Monday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Slayter Hall’s University Room (200 Ridge Road): Katy Crossley-Frolick, assistant professor of political science, will present “Dimensions of Peacebuilding in Post-Conflict Settings: Actors, Opportunities and Challenges.”
  • Monday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in Slayter Hall’s Auditorium (200 Ridge Road): President Adam Weinberg will present “Constructing Global Universities and Colleges.”
  • Monday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Slayter Hall’s University Room (200 Ridge Road): Jennifer Magro Algarotti, visiting assistant professor of international studies, will present “Wilderness and other ‘Others’: Figurations of the Nature/Culture Split.”
  • Monday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Slayter Hall’s University Room (200 Ridge Road): Xiao Jiang, assistant professor of economics, will present “China and the Great Trade Collapse: Gender and Employment Effects from E.U. and U.S. Trade.”
