All student records pertaining to violations of the Student Code of Conduct, except those that resulted in the student receiving a sanction of Disciplinary Suspension or Disciplinary Expulsion from the University, shall be destroyed seven years after graduation or withdrawal from the University. It is the policy of Denison University not to release any information related to a student's involvement in the community rights and standards process without the express written consent of the student, unless the misconduct resulted in Disciplinary Suspension or Disciplinary Expulsion.

As soon as feasible after an incident which represents a serious breach of community standards, a brief description of the incident will be posted at designated locations around campus. In addition, statistics are compiled by the Office of Security and Safety and published annually in compliance with the Clery Act.
