Geoscience Majors to Present at National Meeting

Three Geoscience majors who completed summer research with their faculty advisors will be presenting abstracts at the National Meeting of the Geological Society of America in Denver, Colorado this October.

The Geosciences students are:

  • Brittany Kirch“Hot and Salty: Linking Ecological Boundaries with Environmental Variability”  - David H. Goodwin, Advisor
  • Cory Van Auken“Strain Analysis and Strain Profile of the Mineral King Pendant, Southern Sierra Nevada, California” - David C. Greene, Advisor
  • Al Weik  – “Here yesterday - gone today: Preliminary investigation of anthropologically induced littoral community change in The Colorado River Delta”  - David H. Goodwin, Advisor
