Denison has two primary theater spaces: the Leroy "Ace" Morgan Theater, a 200-seat proscenium house, and the Burke Hall Theater, a 3600-square foot black box space.
The department has a fully-equipped 1800-square foot scene shop adjacent to the stage. A second shop below the main scene shop is used for welding and additional construction. A separate electrics shop houses an inventory of more than 175 lighting instruments.
The department's costume shop is equipped with state-of-the-art sewing machines, embroidery machines, sergers and a variety of other equipment, and has separate cutting and pattern layout shops as well as a sizeable costumes stock.
The department has its own library, with hundreds of playscripts and theatre texts currently cataloged, and more being added all the time. These books can be checked out by theatre students for research, class work or their personal enjoyment.
