CS Majors perform well at Regional Programming Contest

Denison computer science majors performed well at regional programming contest.

We are excited to report that under the guidance of Dr. Matt Kretchmar, a group of our Computer Science majors did quite well at the recent 2016 ACM ICPC East Central North America Regional Programming Contest held at Youngstown State University on October 28 and 29. There was a very competitive field of 42 teams, many from large R1 schools. Our team of senior majors, Hung Tran, Wei Peng and Larry Li placed 12th overall, the team of Hieu Nguyen ‘19, Quan Tran ‘19, and David Duong ‘19 placed 13th and the team of Cole Shaler ‘18, Thales Zhang ‘20, and Hiep Phan ’20 placed 19th. Congratulations!
